Embracing Heroes Scholarship

Bloomington Hills Utah Website is proud to draw attention to the Embracing Our Heroes Scholarship program. This is sponsored through Dixie State University Development Office. Wilma Courtney, who is pictured in the center of the attached photo, was an advocate and Co- Chair of the program at the time of this writing. Wilma is a resident of Bloomington Hills and has assisted in this fund raising event for several years. The program is designed to assist our military veterans with some financial help when they return and would like to continue with their education. Wilma is a busy person, but can always find time to help others. A true advocate for the underdog, Wilma is a true asset to have in Bloomington Hills!

There are strict guidelines that have to be met to receive and utilize these funds. Students that are selected receive up to $1,200 per year. Donations are tax deductible. It always generates a good feeling to donate and help others, and it is especially nice to know that your donation will help someone right here in our community.
